The exam is 3 hours for English.
You have to complete all of the papers in this time so you need to stick to the following recommended times to make sure you get everything done.
Formal writing (1.2) Letter to the Editor- 40 minutes
Film essay- 30 minutes
Novel essay / extended text- 30 minutes
Maori poetry / short text- 30 minutes
1.6 Unfamiliar text- 50 minutes
If you have decided to drop one of either: film, poetry or novel, this will give you 45 minutes to complete these essays rather than 30 minutes. The paper that you have decided to not attempt must not have ANYTHING written on it otherwise it will be marked.
Time yourself and STICK TO THESE TIMES.
If you are having trouble with timing start your revision by giving yourself more time and gradually cutting it down.
